How to Fundraise for Haiti Relief Efforts

 

I've been thinking a lot lately about the 80/20 rule, applying it to my life and plans for this year. Basically the rule says that 20% of your efforts produce 80% of results.

2. Instructions and discussion questions

When you see a list of your fundraisers all on one page, I think some truths will become even clearer -- which fundraisers raise the most money and which are a drain on time and resources. Then most importantly, decide how you will reduce unproductive fundraising efforts and increase focus on the ones that are most effective.

The immediate outpouring of support for Haitian relief efforts has been astounding. Donations are reaching record amounts and people continue to want to donate or fundraise to help the people of Haiti.

Britt Bravo recently published a great article with a list of resources. I'd like to add a few tips for fundraising, especially if you are volunteering to raise money for an organization you are not directly working for.
