Melissa (left) & Sandra in MontrealLast week I got a chance to visit with the good folks at eFundraising.com. After a rather unusual travel experience (which you can read about on my personal blog) Melissa and I had a great lunch.  Then we headed over to the office to meet with the rest of the team.

I’ve been partnering with eFundraising since 2004, nearly since this website first started.  They offer several product sales programs that are best suited to schools, sports teams and other youth groups.  Though their online magazine fundraiser can benefit just about any cause.

The one word that kept coming to mind as I was talking with their team was experience.  I was glad to see so many familiar faces from the last time I visited there two years ago.  In fact if you were to call their toll free number (866-450-5794), it’s likely that you’d speak to someone with several years experience working with fundraising groups.  Several of the people that I visited with had been working for the company for 5 years or more.  They’ve literally helped thousands of groups raise funds.

They also use their experience to make sure that your fundraising plan goes as smoothly as possible.  One example that Keith mentioned, and his co-workers agreed with, was the cookie program.  First of all, it costs no money up front to start this fundraiser.  Groups simply order the brochures from eFundraising to get started.  They take orders from family and friends and then turn in the order.

These are delicious cookies (chocolate chip are my favorite) and the pre-portioned option makes it so easy to bake as few or as many as you want.  Jim Berigan and his family taste tested the Chippery cookie dough earlier this year and also enjoyed it.  But as we all know from being consumers, even with a good product, it’s often the service that sets a company apart.  When your cookie dough is ready to be shipped, they set up an appointment for delivery ahead of time at your convenience.  They will follow up to confirm the appointment day and time.  The order is only delivered to a commercial address, so no one individual is left with the responsibility of having all that cookie dough at home!  There’s a track record of excellent customer service from from start to finish.

This is just one example of how the eFundraising team uses their experience to benefit fundraising groups.  At the risk of using this word too often, I will conclude by saying that my experience visiting with the eFundraising team was, as always, a great one.
