Welcome to Step By Step Fundraising. This website was born out my own personal passion for fundraising for non profit causes. I know that many of you are also passionate about your non profit cause, and are looking for ways to enhance your fundraising. It is my mission to help you reach your fundraising goals.

A little bit about me…

I first started fundraising when I was in college at the University of North Texas. I was active in a school spirit club and I served as chair of the fundraising committee, planning a variety of fundraisers for our club.

After graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts I went to work in a variety of industries primarily working in marketing and database management.

The turning point for my career was actually a volunteer experience with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. By participating in their Team in Training program I raised funds to help fight leukemia and walked a marathon in Anchorage Alaska.

At that point I realized that not only did I enjoy fundraising, but I had a knack for it too. I continued to volunteer for a variety of charitable organizations. In the fall of 2003 StepbyStepFundraising.com began as a way to share my experience with others.
