Being the day before Easter, this was a great day for a bake sale. Amy and Candy brought a lot of cakes and those sold like widfire. Cathy made gift jars and Easter baskets and those did well, too. And we had plenty of cookies and other goodies to go around.

When we talked with people about why we were raising money and what it was for, the response was so positive. Several people gave extra donations above the purchases. We met several people who were going through treatments for leukemia, lymphoma or other cancers. It seemed to be a great encouragement to them that we were helping to find treatments for these diseases.

Although it was rather cold, luckily it didn’t rain on us. Overall it was a good day, raising over $400 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fight blood related cancers. ($60 toward my personal goal.)
