It’s less than one month away from the race. Now I am even more dedicated to the training schedule. There’s no excuses for not walking now. I do wish to complete the race in a good time. I found out that medals are given out only finishers under 2:30 (a little over 11 minute mile pace). Well that’s highly unlikely at this point. But I would like to finish under 3 hours (which is a little less than 14 minute mile). This would be a big improvement for me.

The fundraising is coming along slowly but surely. I truly appreciate everyone who has donated toward the cause of fighting blood related cancers. The donations and words of encouragement are very inspiring and keeping me motivated to go on.

Seeing all these donations come in, it reminds me of when I was a kid we watched the Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon for Muscular Dystrophy. Even at 12 I was inspired to call in. So my brother and I pooled our allowance and pledged $6. Then as I watched the “total board” add up to millions of dollars, I knew that we had contributed to that. One by one, each donation counts and adds up make a big difference.
